Is this cool, cloudy, wet weather ever going to change? We didn’t get the turnout we were expecting for our Memorial Ride because of the cooler than usual weather, but those who did come all had an enjoyable time. We got a tiny bit wet in south Surrey, but then things dried out and we had a breezy, warm, dry afternoon at Centennial Beach Park. Patrick pulled three Kings out of the hat for his wife Raine who won $115.00 in the Poker Run. Way to go! We had more than enough food for everybody with some delicious wraps, cold beverages, cakes and cookies for all. A big thank you to the ladies for putting it all together. Also thanks to Amarjit for providing a popup tent and warm tea and donuts at the rest stop in Campbell Valley Park. It proved to be a good move, as that was where it actually did rain on us all. After it was all said and done, the chapter came a bit ahead with a profit of $124.00.
Giselle and I are busy working on rally planning all this week. If you haven’t registered for the rally in 100 Mile House, it is not too late. We have 19 Chapter BC-A registrations so far out of a total of 81. We are in the lead for most members attending, but I know we can do better….
Here is the registration link:
Our next breakfast meeting is coming up this Saturday, June 18th. Giselle and I will be absent for this as we will be heading north on our own adventure. I have asked Patrick Frampton to take the reins for this one. Location is at the ABC Restaurant at 100 Schoolhouse Road in Coquitlam. 9:00AM for breakfast….
Coming up next week is the district Gypsy Run. 6 days of riding through northern and central BC. Giselle and I will be meeting up with the gang in Dawson Creek on the 25th for an outdoor dinner hosted by some very good friends of mine. It is not too late to register for this ride. Here is the link:
That’s all for now. We will see you in a couple of weeks after we get back. Until then, please ride safe!
